Two Playoff Changes
27 Aug 2008 by Erick
Playoff games will no longer be QuickSimmed. Holders and closers will not be used if the starting pitcher has thrown less than 90 pitches. This means they will be brought in mid-inning if the SP goes over 90 pitches.

QuickSimming Coming Soon
19 Aug 2008 by Erick
Soon SimYard will begin QuickSimming games which nobody is around to watch. This will be done to save server resources, and should result in massive increases in speed. See the Game Check-In page to choose if there are any games that you do not want to be QuickSimmed.

League Levels
15 Aug 2008 by Erick
Starting now, we're going to begin labelling the leagues as one of five levels: Major, AAA, AA, A, and Rookie. Most of the current leagues will get either the Major or AAA, and ultimately this will be up to the league to decide. None of this will affect gameplay until 1906, however.

For those of you thinking about getting a Stadium Permit, you can now try out the Stadium Editor and see what you're missing! Build a stadium and start working your way up the ranks of the leagues. The deadline to join for the 1905 season is August 28th, but you should join early to have time to work on your stadium and bid on players.

Speeding up the Site
08 Aug 2008 by Erick
The last couple of days I have been working to speed up the site. I've come up with a plan to simulate games all-at-once when nobody's around to watch it, and I am looking for your feedback on this. Obviously, this only applies to league games.

Reminder: Non-Contracted in Reserve
04 Aug 2008 by Erick
If you have any non-contracted players in your reserve, transfer them to a team now if you want to keep them! The script was supposed to run at the end of spring training, but I hijacked it for another purpose. Next season it will run at the end of spring training, and this season I will run it in tomorrow. This was on the calendar all last season so there has been plenty of warning.
