Starting Pitchers
play once every five games, long endurance
|
Up to five pitchers may be specified as part of the "Starting Rotation".
These pitchers should be five players who have good endurance and good pitching
skills. When you play a game in the Public Fields, you will still be able to
select other Starting Pitchers (SP) which are not in this rotation. The
difference comes during league play, which will be available soon. During
league play, these pitchers will be used to start games in the order they are
in the Rotation, taking the first rested pitcher. This will work very well
with a five-man rotation. If all members of the rotation are fatigued, the
auto manager will select another SP to do the job, or the RP with the most
stamina.

Closing Pitchers
play one or two innings at a time
|
Up to three pitchers may be specified as part of the "Closing Pitchers".
These pitchers should be up to three players who have good pitching skills,
awareness, and bravery. If you have a lead of 1-3 runs late in the game, the
computer manager will use this list of closers to choose the pitchers to use.
The best pitcher on this list that is rested will be saved for the ninth inning
of the game. If there are two or three rested pitchers on this list, the
second or third will be planned for the eighth or seventh innings,
respectively. These are times when a win is on the line, and these pitchers
are frequently entrusted to protect the smallest of leads late in the game.
